In this MOCK WORKSHOP students will revise mocks that cover the fundamental rules relating to solicitor accounts, how to apply relevant core principles of double entry bookkeeping and the SRA Accounts Rules appropriately and effectively at the level of a competent newly qualified solicitor in practice, to realistic client-based and ethical problems and situations. In this MOCK WORKSHOP students will built on concepts learnt during the LECTURE on Solicitor Accounts on 17 June 2023. 

With the aid of a tutor, the answers will be discussed together with tips and tricks on how to avoid pitfalls and traps in the exam.

Private classes online are now available to help you understand and pass your SQE 1 test. Group courses must meet the minimum numbers to be activated.

Syllabus

1. 1. Transactions involving client money and money belonging to the authorised
   2. Operation of ledgers and bank accounts; the payment of
   3. Breaches of the SRA Accounts
   4. Accounting entries required; bills; obtaining and delivery of accountants’ reports; obligations regarding record keeping
   5. Demonstration on screen with the Tutor.

Many different scenarios drawing upon and applying knowledge from the areas of law and practice set out below. Questions may draw on any combination of the subject areas within this FLK assessment 2 which might be encountered in practice.

You will also learn how to demonstrate your ability to act honestly and with integrity and in accordance with the SoSC, the SRA Principles and the Code of Conduct.
