MOCK WORKSHOP: Contract Law

In this MOCK WORKSHOP students will revise the relevant core principles and rules of contract law.

Students will be able to test their contract’s knowledge and familiarity with legal principles and rules, using scenarios drawn through professional experience and through MCQs in preparation for the SQE Assessment. This follows the Lecture on Contracts law on 25 March 2023.

With the aid of a tutor, the answers will be discussed together with tips and tricks on how to avoid pitfalls and traps in the exam.

Private classes online are now available to help you understand and pass your SQE 1 test. Group courses must meet the minimum numbers to be activated.

Syllabus Topics covered include:-

    • Existence and formation of a contract: Offer and acceptance
    • Existence and formation of a contract: Consideration
    • Existence and formation of a contract: Certainty of terms, intention to create legal relations and capacity 
    • Privity of contract and rights of third parties
    • Content of contracts 1 – sources and interpretation
    • Contents of a contract 2 – exemption clauses and unfair terms
    • Misrepresentation
    • Vitiating elements – misrepresentation, mistake, duress, undue influence, illegality
    • Discharge of contract and remedies – Discharge
    • Remedies
